Hi. My name is Bob Howell. You can call me P-Bob, which my students named me during my third year internship in ministry school. It can either mean pastor Bob or papa Bob. I came to the Lord in 1974, at the tail end of the Jesus Movement. I spent the next 37 years in various charismatic streams, but mostly in two churches. I spent 18 years in one church, then we started a daughter church and I spent the next 14 years in that church. For most of that time I worked in the computer software industry as a software developer. In all that time I was never a pastor. I did lead a few programs at my church. In 2011 I had an encounter with the Lord that changed the direction of my life. I really began to see myself as an actual son of God rather than a servant or church member. Also, for the first time, I felt validated and affirmed by some recognized leaders. Shortly after this I re-met my new wife Cindy at a family wedding, we were married six months later, and a year and a half after that we moved to Redding, California to attend Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. After three years of school and at 63 years old my journey is just beginning. The question always arises: “What qualifies you to publish a blog?” I have considered that myself. I guess my life experience. I have had a crazy life. I feel like I’ve actually lived about 4 separate lives in my 63 years on the planet. More about this in upcoming blog posts. I don’t have a college degree in theology, but I’m pretty well-read. I have a lot of experience dealing with people. Much of that comes from learning by failure. But I reached a tipping point of you will where I now can speak to the subject with a degree of wisdom. My gifting is pastor/teacher with a dash of prophetic and a smidge of apostolic. Throw in a pinch of evangelist. I am also a creative, mostly art and painting in acrylics. But also play guitar a trifle and have written a few spoken word pieces. I also write prose. So here I am. I am waiting to see what develops from all this. I started this blog as part of building a presence. My desire is to impart the love of the Father to people, lead them into encounters and release creativity in them. I want to see them come into their destiny or at least start the journey. This may take the form of some kind of itinerant ministry. We’ll see how it all shapes up. And you can follow my journey. I currently live with my wife Cindy in Redding, California and attend Bethel Church. I have three step-children and 5 grandchildren.
